This semester, you’ll learn twenty-five songs and activities, including a rousing new rendition of the American folksong, “Alabama Gal”—great for dancing with a partner even when you’re not at a hoe-down! Our version of this traditional tune features banjo, harmonica, and cajon (a Peruvian box drum). The Bells collection also includes Music Together favorites like “Me, You, and We,” which is often one of the first songs little ones learn to sing, “Trot Old Joe,” and “The Bells of Westminster.”

Mid-Hudson Music Together

has been singing and dancing with families in the area for over 17 years. We believe silliness inspires play which inspires learning. There is a flow and structure to our class but enough freedom so children and adults feel they can participate at their own level and ability. It is developmentally appropriate, research based and musically interesting! There are 9 song collections so you could go a full three years with your child without repeating the same music. Tuition includes 10 weekly classes, 2 make-up classes, materials for you to use at home (CDs, song downloads, a songbook), access to the online Family Music Zone, a family newsletter full of resources and music-making ideas.
